Prices are going up, what's next?

Since Bob Iger has been back as CEO of the Walt Disney Company everyone has been happy to see the changes to come. He knows that the prices have gone up tremendously and Disney is now seen as a "Luxury vacation destination" which isn't what Walt wanted. With his return he was going to look at how to return things to normal as much as possible. We saw many good changes until recently. We all know that Disney used to have Fast Passes which was replaced with Genie+. Fast passes were, shocker, FREE and was way user friendly. Once they came out with this new payed service we were all upset but it had its pluses. This service prices and availability vary by date. Recently after Spring Break we saw the max price go up! Originally, the max price was 29 per person and it went up to 35! Now if it is very busy you will be paying 35 for each person in your group. THAT IS CRAZY EXPENSIVE! What could be next? It is sad to think that the happiest place on earth is very costl...

The end is near

We have been celebrating the 50th anniversary for almost 18 months now and it is almost time to say goodbye. Yes we will miss all the EARidescent love but don't be too sad because we have more love to come. In Disneyland we have the 100th anniversary going on! In the next blog we will talk more about that. For now lets go over the best things to come out of the 50th anniversary.  First thing we need to go over are the night time spectaculars! Two new firework shows for the 50th! One in Epcot and in the Magic Kingdom. In Epcot they even created new barges in the lagoon  that are a part of the show. It was a great show, but I can't wait to see what is next. When it comes to Magic Kingdoms night time fireworks were amazing as well. They even added projections to main street. It just makes the whole show more magical. We can't forget the new rides that came to the parks as well! We got Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and Remy's Rataouille Adventure! Guardians has easily been the most popular ride since it came out. With a reverse launch! This ride is definitely for the thrill seekers as well as the marvel lovers. Remy's is a family friendly ride also in Epcot. It is a trackless 3D dark ride you will dash and scurry through the kitchen, dining room and walls of Gusteau’s restaurant. Very cute and fun family ride. Of course there was so much merch and food. Sadly, we can't talk about them all. Of course the 50th ears were a must! There were many, MANY different foods throughout this celebration. My favorite food, or drink, was the EARidescent Sip-a-bration Drink. This is a lemonade that comes with a fab 5 character that you drop in the lemonade that dissolves and changes the color of your drink with glitter! It also comes with a souvenir cup. Of course there are many different great things that came out of this celebration, but if I talked about all of them we'd never leave.
